OVERVIEW

Lemons are rich in Vitamin C. It is said to be very good in boosting immune system. it has an excellent source of antioxidants that helps eliminate free radicals that can damage cells from the body.
It is used for marination, drinks, salad dressings, desserts and used for household cleaning.

HISTORY

Lemon's origin is unknown but are thought to have first grown in Assam, ana region in Northeast India. the arab traders brought it to the Middle East and Africa sometime after 100 CE. In 200 CE, it was introduced in Southern Italy and a few centuries later, it was being cultivated in Egypt and in Southern portion of Mesopotamia. After, spreads to Europe because of Christopher Columbus, a crusader in a Hispaniola. It spreads to the whole world after a few centuries.
